HOW MUCH DOES A KOSHER CERTIFICATION COST?
Pricing and rates for kosher certification depend on the product’s ingredients. Each product is unique and specific analysis is required. Below are the general guidelines for the type of certifications we offer
Level One – Requires a visit once a year
The products listed below such as raw beans, water, and coffee, do not require certification. However as we have discussed many of these products do have Kosher certification and symbols on the packages and gives the edge to the consumer. A consumer will always choose a product that has a kosher symbol in contrast to the same article on the shelf which does not have a kosher symbol.
Level Two – Requires visits two times a year
Products with more sensitive ingredients and mixtures of many ingredients or we suspect added ingredients such as Tequila or any alcoholic beverages, energy drinks, juices, candies, canned fruits and vegetables
Level Three – Require a visit four times a year
Products in level three contain sensitive ingredients such as oils, flavorings, and colorings. These could include items such as potato chips, snacks, fruit drinks, and tortillas condiments such as pickles relish mustard.
Level Four – Require visits once a month
Highly sensitive ingredients such as kosher cheeses and wine vinegar – these could be in salad dressings corn chips.
Level Five – Requiring constant supervision
When kosher meat is on the premises or a plant is usually not kosher and wants to temporarily produce a kosher item. If such is the case, then special koshering of the machinery is involved and a kosher inspector is requires being on the premises during production.
